 It is said that few people only have one career choice in their lifetime. That is so true here. With every season of my life my career choices have evolved around my likes, and ultimately my children. When I embarked on becoming a Master of Haircare Stylist, I knew it was the perfect time and choice for myself and my family. Little did I know that my clients would become part of my family as well. We have grown through the years and enjoyed many family milestones together.

PASSIONS
When the season is open for hunting my spare time is spent in the woods. The sights, sounds and smells are unlike anywhere else. Scouting new locations, enjoying a ride through the club looking for tracks, or just watching the deer in their habitat all bring me joy and comfort. It’s my slow down passion!
MUST-HAVES
Chocolate! Hands down, always, chocolate!

Being creative and watching things thrive makes me smile. From my plants and seedlings, our baby chicks, the rest of my fur babies, fostering baby squirrels, to my clients. Knowing I have delivered the best of what they wanted, and the smiles as they leave, makes the day. I am a Halo certified Hand Tied Extensions stylist.

PASSIONS
Plants! I have a thing for unique cacti as well but recently fell on one of them accidentally and it took about a week to get all of the spines out of my arms and side. It may have slid down the list a few.
MUST-HAVES
Crab meat….well I love it but my thing is my pup, Kobe.

I have always loved everything beauty. My favorite services are blonding and extensions. I am married and have two kids – ages 4 and 6.

PASSIONS
Summer is my favorite season as I love to be outside in the sunshine and boating.

April has been a stylist for 30 years. She specializes in multi dimensional hair color and blonding as well as perming. She is certified as a Hot Heads Hair extension professional. April has a passion for bringing out the inner beauty in her clients.

Born and raised in Charleston and have always called James Island my home. From a young age, swimming became my passion, shaping much of my early years. Until, it was my discovery of makeup artistry that ignited a new path in my life. Experimenting with makeup on myself and others eventually led me to explore the world of hairstyling. Since then, I’ve found immense joy in using my hair skills to make people feel beautiful and confident! I love to do blondes/lived-in color and I’m certified in hand-tied extensions.

PASSIONS:
I’m all about the water – whether it’s on a boat, at the beach, or poolside. Pair that with live music, especially at an outdoor venue, and I’ll be there

Karo comes to Charleston by way of a childhood in Vienna, Austria, a few years in London, and many travels throughout the world along the way. For me, becoming a salon professional is the realization of a little girl’s dream and the culmination of a lifetime journey of learning. I am a Paul Mitchell graduate with 6 years of hair styling experience behind the chair. I have also worked with Charleston Fashion Week, Lowcountry Live and Darius Rucker’s charity foundation. I offer exceptional color and cutting skills and adds an exotic German-accented European flavor to Edge Salon.
